January 19, 2022

South Caucasus Railway and the Corporate University of Russian Railways have a long-standing partnership. In 2019, the University's business trainers already visited Yerevan to carry out the learning programmes for the South Caucasus Railway executives. At that time, 48 executives received certificates of successful completion of the "Corporate Leader" Programme. The course was based on the classic programme of the Corporate University of Russian Railways, and considered the requests of our colleagues to cover the issues of constructive feedback, delegation of authority and managerial responsibility.

In December, educational cooperation between South Caucasus Railway and the University resumed - a group of the South Caucasus Railway managers attended a specially designed programme entitled 'Task Management. Safety Culture in the Organisation' in Moscow. Among the participants there were managers of various business units: Rolling Stock Directorate, Transportation Directorate, and Infrastructure Directorate.

Attendees:

learned the basics of task management and tools for effective analysis, working with baseline data and minimising risk, and collecting information under the conditions of uncertainty reinforced the knowledge gained during the business game "Culture of Safety in the Organisation".

According to Oleg Shatalov, First Deputy General Director of South Caucasus Railway, the managers have learned the tools to be used further at the programme: "We are happy to cooperate with the Corporate University of Russian Railways and are waiting for all restrictions to be removed and for the moment when we will be able to return to the previous dynamics of learning and realizing programmes in Yerevan. The knowledge and tools gained will be used in the development of South Caucasus Railway.

Awarding certificates of successful completion of the programme to the executives of South Caucasus Railway, Roman Baskin, Director of the Corporate University of Russian Railways, underlined the value of the educational partnership: "We always welcome our colleagues and hope that in 2022 cooperation will be richer and meetings more frequent".
