The Corporate University held a business training in Serbia

Last week, the Corporate University of Russian Railways conducted a learning sessions for the managers of "Infrastructure of Railways of Serbia" for the first time. The seminar in Belgrade was held with the aim of developing the university's educational partnership with Serbian railway experts and RZD International.The participants of the business seminar "Negotiations: from Struggle to Cooperation", held by the Corporate University of Russian Railways in Belgrade, were 18 managers of the Serbian railway infrastructure departments. The two-day intensive program was specially developed by the university's business faculty and methodologists at the request of the Serbian side.

The learning is a pilot project that can become the starting point of a future educational partnership in the development of managerial competencies of railway experts in Serbia.

"It is a unique experience for the Corporate University of Russian Railways to conduct a programme for the managers of foreign railway companies. This is a great honor and at the same time a responsibility for us – because it is necessary to adapt the programmes to the specifics of a foreign learner for effective results" said Roman Baskin, Director of the Corporate University of Russian Railways. – We are grateful to RZD International and its representative office in Serbia for the joint project, for their active participation in its preparation and implementation. We highly appreciate the interest of not only Russian but also foreign colleagues in the work of the university."

According to Natalia Manko, a professor of the Corporate University of Russian Railways, who conducted the programme, it took a minimal amount of time to build a dialogue with Serbian learners. "It was exciting to carry out the programme, partly because for the first time after a year of working online, the seminar was conducted in a traditional classroom format. Despite the fact that the programme was realized in two languages (Russian and Serbian), we quickly built up interaction: business games, individual and group tasks were very active. The programme was highly appreciated by the learners, which means that the formats and knowledge transmitted by the university are universal and have no borders," she said.

During the visit to Serbia, the management of the Corporate University of Russian Railways also held a working meeting with the General Director of "Infrastructure of Railways of Serbia" Nebojsa Shurlan and his colleagues. They discussed the possibilities and prospects of educational cooperation. The University shared its experience in developing the talent pool of the Russian Railways Holding. In turn, the host party told about the learning system of Serbian railway employees.

The university delegation visited the railway facilities built by RZD International, as well as the regional, informational and training center, which was open last year in Belgrade. It presents modern Russian digital technologies of railway infrastructure management, which will be used in the creation of an Integrated Dispatch Center in Serbia.

In the near future, the Corporate University of Russian Railways together with the Serbian colleagues will work out the formats of educational cooperation for the development of human capital of the company "Infrastructure of Railways of Serbia".
